Difference between object and subject

Subject is the person who is performing an action..Object is the person on whom action is being performed.
ex: They asked him/he and I/me to join the academic team.(In this 'They' is the subject and the action is directed towards 'him' and 'me' therefore these two words are in objective cases. )
PS: 'This/These' r refer to things nearby in space/time where as 'that/those' refer to things that r farther away in space/time.
